14 aug 2021 · the photo has been circulating online since 2008. The ridiculous idea that it shows hisashi ouchi seems to have come about in 2010 or 2011. This idea has of course already been completely debunked a long time ago, and is now of course proven completely untrue yet again. Hisashi ouchi was a ‘survivor’ from the nuclear meltdown in japan. He suffered a lethal dose of radiation poisoning and basically melted his body to look like that.

The argument you sometimes see that ouchi couldn’t have had an amputation because the radiation injury would’ve prevented healing is, as far as i know, not strictly correct, but i’m no doctor.
